Junior Tyrone Gorze of Crater High in Oregon won the Eastbay Cross Country West Regional boys 5-kilometer championship race at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Gorze clocked 15:10 to lead four Oregon male athletes to the Eastbay National Championships on Dec. 11 at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Gorze followed Mateo Althouse of Lincoln High in Oregon, who prevailed in 2019, as the West Regional winner.
